The Foundation for a Reasonable Global Way
aims to identify and promote reasonable global beliefs – in all
knowledge domains – and reasonable global values based on those
beliefs.
● We are looking for reasonable global
beliefs in philosophy, science, history, religion and culture. [See our high level
summary beliefs.]
● From these we work out reasonable value
choices, for our personal lives and for our political actions. [see our core values at the
Global Beliefs web site]
We are dedicated to advancing education in this area
and advancing peace and reconciliation.

RELIGION?
If you come from a religious
background we believe you can maintain respect for the best of your
tradition by refining your understanding of the sacred and true.
If you are one of the “nones”,
with no religious affiliation, or “spiritual but not religious”, or openly
Atheist, Agnostic, Sceptic or Rationalist, you can maintain your position
while exploring what values choices are reasonable, and how to find meaning.
We can show you a Reasonable Global Way that is both intellectually
justifiable as well as emotionally and spiritually satisfying!
We believe this Way, our global beliefs and values are
a viable alternative to traditional world religions.

companion site GlobalBeliefs.org

our proposed core global values. Click on the link to check it out.

The Australian Charities and
Not-for-profit Commission (ACNC) decided that our Reasonable Global Way is NOT a
religion, because we say there is no reason to believe in supernatural beings
or things.
We can still be awed by the
majesty of the universe, humbled by our apparent insignificance, grateful for
our lives, loving towards others, and feel reverence.
We can still strive to feel at one with the universe
and ourselves, to have spiritual experiences.

We are
exploring global beliefs and values that constitute a reasonable global
way of life.
● After
all, who would choose to be unreasonable?
● Why would you choose to believe things that aren’t true
everywhere?
● Why
would you adopt values that don’t apply everywhere?
We seek reasonable and global beliefs and values to guide us along
our way.
The Australian Government (in 2020) proposed a new
Religious Discrimination bill, supposedly to protect religious freedom. We
don’t think it is needed in Australia. But if it is to become law, we think
its definition of religious belief and activity must be fixed and religion
defined.
See
our submission on the draft bill here.

BRANCHES
We plan to
establish local branches wherever there is enough interest – perhaps a dozen
people or so – the first being Reasonable
Way – Melbourne Inc.
Anyone is
eligible to join who can affirm: “I support a Reasonable
Global Way in its attempt to define and advance reasonable global beliefs
and values.”
We don’t
require you to hold any specific set of beliefs or values other than those
related to good conduct, polite debate and considerate behaviour.
Associate
members don’t even have to affirm this much, so long as they are willing
to follow the rules of the Association and relevant policies of the
Foundation, which cover “industry standard” things like a code of conduct and
safety issues.
Contact us
for help to establish a new branch of this Way in your area.
